Create a big centerpiece
This summer, we are back and ready to fall in love with dahlias -
We will start with a visit to one of the dahlia farms nearby my studio.
After gathering at the studio at 09:30 or at a dahlia farm at 10:00 AM, cutting a bucket full of dahlias, we will bring it back to the studio, condition it and leave it to hydrate while we get some tea and I explain how to arrange. I will prepare the vessel and machanics big and sturdy enough to hold all the dahlia flowers you have picked. You don’t need to bring anything. Just a good preparation to bring back your arrangement in the vessel when you are done.
The session will be finished between 13:00 - 13:30
Picking dahlias is one of the most magical experiences. Arranging with dahlias - that’s also another level of pure pleasure. We are very lucky to be surrounded by big dahlia fields that are also open for flower picking. You will enjoy the sea of dahlias in the wide open fields and picking the ones that really speak to you in terms of colors, shapes and sizes.

1. What is the quality and reputation of your workshops?
I take immense pride in the experience I provide. Flower and Flour maintains a near-perfect reputation, with over 50 five-star Google Reviews and only one four-star review. 2. Who is this experience designed for?
This is for anyone who loves flowers. 90% of the people we welcome are first-timers!.
3. Can you accommodate larger groups?
The studio sessions are limited to 4 guests to maintain intimacy. However, for larger corporate retreats or private groups, I can arrange for a beautiful external venue. Please submit a request via the Private Commission form to discuss a larger-scale event.
4. How do I secure my booking?
To hold your date and allow me to begin the curation of your materials, 100% prepayment is required at the time of booking.
7. What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Because this is a full-day program involving significant preparation and perishable items, we adhere to the following:
Cancellations 4 weeks prior: 95% refund. (Transactions fees are deducted)
Cancellations within 4 weeks of the date:Non-refundable.
Note: As these sessions are often booked months in advance, a cancellation within the 4-week window typically results in a loss of business that cannot be recovered.
8. What if the host has to cancel?
In the unlikely event that the program cannot proceed as planned due to a reason on my side, you will receive a 100% full refund immediately.

We will workshop at our studio in Heemstede
I will create a demo and explain my process. This takes about 45 minutes at the start
Following that, you will create your own while I go around and give you tips or answer your questions

When You Come To Our Hobby Workshop
The workshops take place in Flower and Flour studio in Heemstede.
We are 3.5 km from Haarlem station and 25 km from Amsterdam.
You will be able to borrow our flower scissors. And all materials will be provided.
You are free to bring your own flowers and plants as you please. (But there will be enough)
You bring all your work including the vase or bowl home so please bring an appropriate bag.

I believe that in this increasingly digitized world, a tactile and focused hobby activity is almost life-saving.
This simple human action is what helps us quiet our head and give us the sense of accomplishment.
A few hours of this self-absorbed and peaceful time every week will do wonders for your happiness and well-being.

Just the beauty of it and the fact that it comes straight from nature.
No other hobby gives you such intense pleasure through all of your five senses as flowers.
