After successful sessions in Seoul and Amsterdam, I am finally bringing this experience “THe Flowering Pivot” to my own garden in Heemstede. I’ll be honest: - at first, mixing a floral workshop with a career pivot session felt like a risk. But I’ve learned that flowers bring out our authentic personalities and openmindedness. And so there is no better ice-breaker than a creative task like floral creation. When your hands are busy with flowers, your mind opens up.
When we create together, the "scary" stories of career gaps, starting a business and corporate exits transform into a collective energy. And what comes out is always relevant, original and valuable.
What We Do
1. Floral designing : Go wild with flowers!
This is a day for you, a day of joy and fun that is cozy, creative and exhillarating.
Playing with flowers will open your eyes to your own sense of beauty and colors.
On top of that, you will learn a valuable skill that you can enjoy as a life-long hobby.
I will provide all the flowers, vessels, decorations and scissors (you borrow these).
You only need to think about how you will take these home, which isn’t much to worry about.
After that, I want to have a short introduction of my book and my program called My Personal Pivot.
I’ve met many people in need of a variety of pivots : From seeking international career, to going back to a career that was left behind decades ago. Pivot can be about redefining your lifestyle, the way you raise your children or renovating a garden after years of delay and hesitation.
Whatever the topic, there are a few key principles to follow, in order to make your pivot less risky, less stressful and more effective. We will carefully choose a theme to dig deeper into. Below, you can find our schedule and themes.

3.Something Special : Home-made Korean Lunch
As a Korean family that has settled in the Netherlands for more than a decade,
We are happy to let you in on our Korean meal time, fully home made.
The lack of convenience that we would have enjoyed had we lived in Korea food-wise,
encouraged us to really go back to the traditional ways of making our own kimchi and well, everything else.
In case you’d like something more familiar like salads and bread, we can also provide that.

Sunday June 14 Session : My Second Flowering
A day of floral fun and pivot dialogues to discuss how to bloom our career the 2nd time around.
If you want to go back and pick your career up from where you left off. Or you want to start something brand new.
But you don’t know where to start. And you don’t want to risk a lot. THen this is your topic.
We will create floral crown together and dive into how to prepare for our 2nd flowering.
Lunch will be provided, as well as all the floral materials.
A day of floral fun and pivot dialogues to discuss how to bloom our career the 2nd time around.

Sometimes it’s because you are really that multi-talented. Sometimes it’s becauswe you avoid making hard decisions.
But whatever the reason is, the feeling that you might not be living your life to the full, or missing out on something key isn’t good.
We will create floral arrangement together and dive into how to choose, decide and plan better.
Lunch will be provided, as well as all the floral materials.

How do we start this? But also, how do I bring myself to put my face, my voice and my opinions out there? How do I sell?
We will create floral arrangement together and dive into how to create a personal brand and build it up.
Lunch will be provided, as well as all the floral materials.
A day of floral fun and pivot dialogues to discuss where a personal branding might start.
